Palmer Construction has made a contribution in support of Sault College's capital fundraising campaign.

The Sault Ste. Marie-based construction company has donated $25,000 to the college's Inspiring Growth capital campaign, which is aiming to raise funds for upgrades to campus facilities, in addition to increasing student scholarships and bursaries.

“Sault College is essential to our business,” Palmer president Terry Rainone said in a news release. “Many of our employees are Sault College graduates and we are grateful to the contributions Sault College makes to our community. Palmer Construction is part of our community's history; we have been doing business here for over 45 years, so it's important for us to give back.”

The $6-million Inspiring Growth campaign has been described as the most significant fundraising campaign in the school's history that will ultimately aid in transforming the campus into a premier post-secondary educational institution.
