North American Palladium (NAP) has appointed Greg Struble as its vice-president and chief operating officer.
He officially takes the reins Dec. 6.
As a mine engineer with 30 years experience in underground mining, Struble comes over from Stillwater Mining, where he was responsible for two underground palladium mines as well as smelter and refinery operations.
In a Nov. 3 release, company president William Biggar said Struble has an “exceptional track record of operating excellence” and his expertise will be important in NAP's $200-million growth plans over the next two years in both palladium and gold mining.
NAP runs the Lac des Iles palladium mine near Thunder Bay and operates the Sleeping Giant gold mine in the Abitibi region of western Quebec.
