Zellers stores in Sudbury, North Bay and Thunder Bay are slated to become Target locations as the U.S. retailer announced its initial selection of sites.
Earlier this year, Target announced it will acquire more than 200 leasheholds from Zellers. It has selected 105 locations in 10 provinces as its initial locations.
The company expects the stores to open in 2013 following renovation and remodelling work expected to cost about $10 million at each location. It is expected additional sites will be announced later this year.
