Gold is the theme at the Ontario Mining Association conference in North Bay next month.
The three-day event runs June 13 to 15 at the Clarion Resort Pinewood Park.
Conference speakers include the National Post's Diane Francis and Barry Cooper of CIBC World Markets. There will be presentations on workplace safety, stakeholder engagement in Ministry of Environment approvals and power conservation in the mining industry.
Representatives from KWG/Cliffs Natural Resources will talk about the Ring of Fire chromite project in the James Bay Lowlands and there will be a gold panel discussion moderated by Donovan Pollitt, the president of Wesdome Gold Mines.
