North Bay recognizes business excellence

The North Bay and District Chamber of Commerce presented its Evening of Excellence Awards Oct. 19 at the Best Western Inn. Melissa Marker of Twiggs Coffee Roasters was named New Business of the Year for their new coffee shop at One Kids Place.

Kris Ledoux of Go Off Grid, a supplier of wind, solar and off-grid energy solutions, received the Environment Award.

The North Bay & District Multicultural Centre took home the Not-for-Profit of the Year Award.

The Employee of the Year Award went to Jody Humphrey of the Holiday Inn Express. Anna Iati, the Business Centre of Nipissing Parry Sound is the Young Professional of the Year.

Justin DeBernardi and Kloe Schultz of Dynamic Dance received the Business Student of the Year Award.

The Innovation Award went to Peak Fitness & Indoor Cycling Studio, while the Success Story Award was shared between Nortek and One Stop Weddings.
