The Northern Centre for Advanced Technology (NORCAT) wants students to come up with ways to make their lives easier as part of its 2013 student business plan competition.

The Northern Centre for Advanced Technology (NORCAT) wants students to come up with ways to make their lives easier as part of its 2013 student business plan competition.

The competition is open to all post-secondary students in the Greater Sudbury area. NORCAT will host the competition on March 15.

Students are encouraged to consider what problems they face, what could make their experience as students better, and how would they propose solving these problems.

Cash prizes and in-kind services will be offered to students who come up with the best video submission, the best business plan pitch and the runner-up business plan pitch.

The first deadline for the contest is Feb. 20.

As part of the Ontario Network of Excellence, NORCAT serves as Sudbury’s regional innovation centre, partnering with community stakeholders to help start and accelerate the growth of innovative companies.

Eligibility information, contest rules and registration forms are available at www.norcat.org/competition.
