Confederation College is receiving more than $1 million from the province for new equipment and for upgrades to classrooms and labs.
Thunder Bay MPPs Michael Gravelle and Bill Mauro made the joint announcement Dec. 14.
The money is earmarked for programs related to aviation, dentistry and combat training. The equipment will help Confederation meet industry standards.
“Our institutions continue to produce a skilled workforce to meet the needs of today's employers, and this funding allows them to continue to provide the equipment necessary to attract students to Thunder Bay,” said Mauro in a statement.
“Confederation College continues to be a leading-edge post-secondary institution, with state-of-the-art facilities and programs that lead to successful graduates entering and enhancing the workforce,” added Michael Gravelle.
