In a May 4 statement, EACOM president Rick Domain said “EACOM is building a strong team with a clear focus on improving productivity and reducing costs in all of its operations, as well as ensuring global growth in lumber sales and distribution.”

EACOM owns sawmillls in Timmins, Nairn Centre, Gogama, Ear Falls and has an equity interest in an Elk Lake plant. The company has a conditional purchase agreement to acquire two former Buchanan Forest Products mills in Thunder Bay and Atikokan, currently under bankruptcy protection.
