The City of Sault Ste. Marie reports the value of building permits issued in 2010 was up $18 million from the year before. Total construction values were $143.3 million, up from $125.3 million the previous year.

The City of Sault Ste. Marie reports the value of building permits issued in 2010 was up $18 million from the year before.

Total construction values were $143.3 million, up from $125.3 million the previous year.

Residential construction led the way at $38.2 million compared to $31.7 million posted in 2009. Commercial, industrial and institutional construction values increased to $105 million from $93.5 million the previous year.
