The Mining Innovation Rehabilitation and Applied Research Corporation (MIRARCO), based out of Laurentian University in Sudbury, is on the hunt for a new president and CEO.

The Mining Innovation Rehabilitation and Applied Research Corporation (MIRARCO), based out of Laurentian University in Sudbury, is on the hunt for a new president and CEO. 

The individual who will fill this dual role will lead and grow a diverse team of engineers and scientists in establishing and furthering collaborative relationships with sponsors of mining research.

The successful applicant will have built a distinguished professional or research career in mining or a related field, have solid experience in team and project management, and possess a sound understanding of academic and industrial research and its commercialization.

Currently, MIRARCO is active in five areas of research, which include geohazard assessment and risk mitigation; ventilation and production optimization; environmental monitoring and rehabilitation; energy, renewables and economy; and climate adaptation and sustainable economies.
