Sudbury's MIRARCO will host a week-long course at the end of September designed to advise mine workers on safety and risk management.

Held at the Willet Green Miller Centre auditorium in Sudbury, from September 26 to 30, the Global Minerals and Industry Risk Management course is tailored to anyone with the “responsibility for defining and managing site, operation or discipline approaches to risk management.”

Guest speakers include Dr. Patrick J. Foster, the senior lecturer in mining engineering at the Camborne School of Mines at Exeter University in England, and Glenn Lyle, the research and development program director at the Centre for Excellence in Mining Innovation (CEMI) in Sudbury.
