Millson Forestry Services of Timmins accepted a provincial wood supply offer to manufacture fuel briquettes for domestic and international markets. It will create and maintain up to 17 jobs once the project is fully operational.
The forestry management and contracting company will put together a first-of-its-kind mobile briquette plant with the aid of $1 million from the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corp. through its Enterprises North Job Creation program.
To make the briquettes, Millson will have access to harvesting areas to make use of residual tree branches from forestry operations in order to make the briquettes.
