Registration is now open to Northern companies interested in participating in the fall/winter session of the Strategic One-on-One Export Marketing Assistance Program.
The program, open to Northern Ontario companies in the mining supply and services sector, is designed to assist companies in expanding their global reach, in turn boosting economic activity and driving wealth and job creation.
Over six months, eligible companies will work with Jon Baird, executive director of the Canadian Association of Mining Equipment and Services for Export (CAMESE), to develop an export strategy and marketing plan. Companies engaged in the program may also be eligible for up to $10,000 in funding to assist with the costs of developing new markets outside of Northern Ontario.
Over the last 18 months, Baird has helped 25 companies in New Liskeard, North Bay, Sault Ste. Marie, Sudbury and Timmins through this program.
The program is offered through Ontario’s North Economic Development Corporation (ONEDC), in conjunction with the Ministry of Northern development and Mines.
