Joint mining reclamation and environmental conference to be held in Sudbury

Three organizations are combining forces in late June to talk about safer environmental practices and land reclamation in mining.

“Reclaiming the Future of Mining” will be a combined presentation of the 5th Mining and Environment International Conference, the 36th Canadian Land Reclamation Association (CLRA) National Conference and the 4th CLRA/OMA (Ontario Mining Association) Ontario Mine Reclamation Symposium. It will take place in Sudbury at Laurentian University from June 25 - 30, 2011.

Sponsored by Laurentian University, the CLRA, CLRA Ontario Chapter and the Ontario Mining Association Environment Committee, the conference will include technical sessions, field tours, workshops, social events and a trade show.

There is a call for oral and poster presentations. Prospective authors are invited to submit titles and abstracts by Feb. 28. Final submission is required by May 1, 2011.
