Innovation centre hires marketing guru

A new marketing and communications manager has joined the team at the Sault Ste. Marie Innovation Centre.

A new marketing and communications manager has joined the team at the Sault Ste. Marie Innovation Centre.

Diana Medaglia will be responsible for the centre's external marketing and communications activities, as well as managing a number of the organization's programs and events.

A former business development specialist with the centre, Medaglia has served as a Global Vision Youth Ambassador to China and Hong Kong and worked as editor-in-chief for the group's online magazine. She has additionally held positions with Natural Resources Canada and the United Nations Association of the USA in New York City.

“Diana is certainly a great example of the bright, young professionals that this community produces,” executive director Tom Vair said in a news release. “We are very pleased to have her join our team and lead our marketing and communications efforts.”

Medaglia, who hails originally from the Sault, said she's pleased to be back in the city and participate in the initiatives of the innovation centre.

“With the growth and diversity of the projects taking place, it is a very exciting time to rejoin the organization,” she said in the release.
