Prodigy Gold has assembled an engineering team to prepare a new resource estimate and preliminary economic assessment of a past-producing mine near Wawa.

Prodigy (formerly Kodiak Exploration) is evaluating the Magino Mine in northeastern Ontario for a possible open pit gold mine with the potential for deeper, high-grade production.

The company has retained CWA Engineers, Snowden Group and Knight Piesold to prepare an updated gold resource estimate for Magino, located 40 kilometres northeast of Wawa.

Snowden will calculate the resource estimate and do the mine planning, while Knight Piesold will focus on environmental matters such as tailings and rock disposal, and CWA will oversee the entire process, working on costing and the processing facilities.
