Temiskaming Shores and two area First Nation communities are sharing $1.2 million from the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corp.'s Infrastructure and Community Development program.
The City of Temiskaming Shores will extend the existing sewer line to Radley Hill Commercial Park and bring sewer services to businesses within Dymond Industrial Park. These two projects will help create 35 jobs.
The Taykwa Tagamou First Nation will complete a feasibility study that will assess economic development opportunities and determine long-term sustainable job creation.
The Temagami First Nation will complete the design of a new multi-use community building for council meetings, local gatherings and training sessions.
