Thunder Bay architectural and engineering firm Kuch Stephenson Gibson Malo is changing its name to FORM Architecture Engineering.

In a May 2 press release, the company said the new name better reflects the firm's vision and reputation for innovative design and high quality service.

“Our new identity is part of our succession process and positions us to move forward with focus and direction,” said principal John Stephenson in a statement. “As senior leaders, we want the next generation of our team to embrace the core values that shape our culture and define the way we work.”

The 26-employee firm was established in 1986 by Walter Kuch and John Stephenson. In 2002, it merged with GBW + Architects and Engineer which was founded in 1996.

They've worked on local and regional projects such as Confederation College's Aviation Centre of Excellence, Fort William Historical Park Visitor Centre, Fort Frances Memorial Sports Centre and the Atikokan Municipal Offices.
