Metals Creek Resources Corp. has appointed Darin Wagner, the former West Timmins Mining Inc.'s president and CEO, as a special advisor and consultant.
A professional geologist and head of West Timmins Mining prior to its $424-million amalgamation with Lake Shore Gold in November 2009, Wagner will advise Metals Creek on corporate and technical matters.
Metals Creek's Ogden gold project near Timmins sits nearly 10 kilometres west of the former West Timmins Mining's flagship property, the West Timmins Gold Project, which includes the high-grade Thunder Creek gold discovery.
Currently, Wagner serves as president and CEO of Balmoral Resources Ltd., and serves on the board of directors of Candente Gold Inc. He also acts as technical advisor to Mag Silver Corp., Platinum Group Metals Ltd., and Puget Ventures Inc.
