It was a deadly week for forestry workers.
An Oct. 31 explosion at the Terrace Bay pulp mill in northwestern Ontario killed a Buchanan Pulp Sales and injured two others.
The Ministry of Labour, Ontario Fire Marshall's Office, Coroner's Office and the Ontario Provincial Police were all investigating the explosion of a blow tank.
The victim was identified as T.J. Berthelot.
With the aid of a $25-million provincial loan guarantee, the mill was reopened last November after 19 months of creditor protection.
The mill produces northern bleached softwood kraft pulp.
In Kapuskasing, the Transportation Safety Board of Canada was investigating a Nov. 2 helicopter crash that killed three people south of town, including two Tembec foresters.
The Bell 206, owned by Sunrise Helicopters, was conducting a forest survey.
Dead are the pilot, Greg Sawyer of North Bay, Dan Simis of Val Rita and Chad McQuade of Kapuskasing.
