Waubetek Business Development Corporation is staging their Tourism/Business Conference 2011, March 3-4 at Sault Ste. Marie's Algoma's Water Tower Inn.
With the theme, “Welcoming the World, Rethinking Business for Tomorrow,” the event features workshops, a panel discussion, as well as national and regional speakers.
The keynote speaker is Chief Clarence Louis of the Osoyoos band in British Columbia. There will also be a presentation on lessons learned in promoting West Coast Aboriginal tourism business.
Organizers say the focus is primarily First Nation but the event is open to everyone interested in growing business in the North.
