The Town of Espanola has received the final piece of funding needed to proceed with the expansion of its industrial park.
The provincial government is providing $525,000 to the project, which is estimated at $1.02 million. Espanola received $371,000 in funding for the project from FedNor in July, and the town will contribute $125,000 of its own money to round out the cost.
Plans are underway to expand the park with another 15 acres of property—extending it from five lots to 15—serviced with hydro, natural gas, water, sewer and stormwater services, along with a paved access road coming into the park.
There is no word yet on when construction will begin.
