Domtar is expanding its line of paper products that are certified to the standards of the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).
The company's eco-friendly EarthChoice product line will now include specialty paper products used for bandage wraps, popcorn bags, candy wrappers, sugar pouches and hamburger wrap.
The products are produced at Domtar's paper mill in Espanola, as well as its U.S. facilities in Port Huron, Michigan, and Rothschild and Nekoosa in Wisconsin.
In addition, Domtar's Tradebook paper, designed for book publishers seeking to use sustainable materials,will now be FSC-certified and renamed EarthChoice Tradebook. The product was formerly only available upon request.
As a result of the expansion, Domtar will now sell more than 150,000 additional tons of FSC-certified paper.
