Businesses to benefit from expansion funding

A government grant from the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corp. (NOHFC) is providing two Sudbury businesses with funds that will allow them to create eight new jobs.

A government grant from the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corp. (NOHFC) is providing two Sudbury businesses with funds that will allow them to create eight new jobs.

A total of $359,000 has been provided through the corporation's Enterprise North Job Creation program, which is anticipated to “bring prosperity” to the community.

Fuller Industrial Corporation has received $274,000, which it will use to expand their sandblasting and pipe spool fabrication business. Six jobs will be created through the expansion.

Lessard Welding has received $85,000 to acquire new automated profile-cutting equipment, and two jobs will be created as a result.
