Collège Boréal has received $212,000 from community partners towards its Leading Us to Prosperity campaign, which will go towards student bursaries and new facilities.

Contributing partners include Acclaim Ability Management Inc., B&D Manufacturing, Bestech, Collins Barrow, Le5 Communications Inc., La Coopérative Boréal, CTV Televison Inc., PBL Insurance limited, Reliable Maintenance Products and Technica Mining Group.

The campaign has now raised $4 million of its $5-million goal.

"We are particularly grateful to all the companies that recognize Collège Boréal's public interest mission,” said campaign chair Mike Mayhew, director of global mining services at Stantec. “The value of an educational establishment is also measured by the support of its community and, as such, Collège Boréal’s efforts to provide employers in our regions with a skilled and qualified workforce find in these financial contributions a recognition that is as tangible as it is generous."

The Collège Boréal Foundation has provided more than 2,000 bursaries to students; for 2011-2012, this represents close to $1.4 million. The foundation's endowment fund is the highest of all colleges per student and exceeds $10.7 million.
