Attawapiskat First Nation gets training simulator

An equipment simulator will be installed in the Attawapiskat First Nation community to teach members to be loader operators and large ore truck drivers.

 
An equipment simulator will be installed in the Attawapiskat First Nation community to teach members to be loader operators and large ore truck drivers.

The simulator will be located at Vezina Secondary School in Attawapiskat and is designed to help adult learners prepare for careers in mining, manufacturing, forestry and other sectors.

The purchase, installation, and the first year’s support of the simulator is being supported by the Ontario government to a tune of $423,150.
