Northern College may be expecting more students this fall. Applications to the college have increased by eight per cent over last year and more offers of admission have been made. Conformation of the offers is up by two per cent.

The Kirkland Lake Campus is experiencing the strongest growth with applications up 47 per cent, offers of admission up 64 per cent and confirmations increasing by 16 per cent.

“Given the compound growth that we have had in first-year enrolment over the past two years, we are tracking well to maintain growth for a third consecutive year,” said Fred Gibbons, Northern College President.

“A number of innovations and recent investments, such as new buildings, classrooms, lab and shop equipment . . . have contributed to Northern College clearly becoming the college of choice in Northeastern Ontario.”
