The Centre for Excellence in Mining Innovation (CEMI) is preparing to celebrate the Greater Sudbury Development Corporation's (GSDC) funding of a new Innovation & Prosperity Office at CEMI.
The event will take place Jan. 13 at the Willet Green Miller Centre, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
The GSDC contributed start-up funds to establish the office, which will help continue placing Greater Sudbury on the international map for mining research excellence by increasing the number of opportunities, ideas, funding, and highly skilled people coming to Greater Sudbury.
The office will help develop large multi-partner proposals for the benefit of the region, and will seek out and funnel R&D business opportunities to innovators in Sudbury’s mining community.
