A call centre is on the early Christmas wish list of the Chapleau Regional Development Corp. (CRDC). With NetCentral poised to introduce high-speed fibre optics to Chapleau, CRDC feels it has the necessary components to operate a community-operated call centre. With competitive pricing for data connections offered by NetCentral, development officials believe a centre could be operating by early 2002. They are preparing an application for financial assistance to the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund.
