More four-laning completed on Hwy 69

Four-laning has been completed on another section of Highway 69. Eleven kilometres of road, stretching between north of Highway 64 and north of Highway 607 near the Municipality of French River is done and will soon be open to the public.

Four-laning has been completed on another section of Highway 69.

Eleven kilometres of road, stretching between north of Highway 64 and north of Highway 607 near the Municipality of French River is done and will soon be open to the public. The section of highway cost $61.3 million to construct.

Work included the excavation, embankment, and installation of nearly 3.7 million cubic metres of rock, pavement, and other materials, as well as the construction of a new bridge underpass at Highway 64 as part of a new interchange.

This brings the total amount of four-laning done so far to 70 kilometres; another 14 kilometres are under construction and 68 kilometres are undergoing engineering and property acquisition.
