BBE Consulting, an international mine ventilation and cooling company is coming to Canada and is setting up shop in Sudbury.
Scheduled to open an office sometime in February, the specialized Australian and South African engineering consultancy provides a suite of services related to mine ventilation, refrigeration, cooling, energy and health and safety.
Heading up the Sudbury office is Dr. Stephen Hardcastle, formerly a senior scientist with Canmet’s mine ventilation research arm, attached to Natural Resources Canada.
Hardcastle has more than 30 years of industry experience working with major Canadian mining companies.
The office location and staffing numbers are not yet known, but the Sudbury will tie into the company’s international network of more than 100 engineers.
