Four-laning advances on Highway 69

Another nine kilometres of Highway 69 between Sudbury and Parry Sound has been four-laned. Completed at a cost of $55 million to the province, the new stretch of road between Highway 64 and the Murdock River is now in service.

Another nine kilometres of Highway 69 between Sudbury and Parry Sound has been four-laned.

Completed at a cost of $55 million to the province, the new stretch of road between Highway 64 and the Murdock River is now in service.

Since 2003, the province has invested more than $770 million to expand and improve a total of 59 km of Highway 69.

An additional 11 km of Highway 69 from Highway 607 to Highway 64 are under construction and are expected to open to traffic in 2016.

Work on four-laning the section of Highway 69 between highways 607 and 522 is expected to start in 2016.
