The first was a Heroic Hospitality Stars Award, which was received by owners Norman and Lorraine Bevilacqua. Awarded at the company’s Annual Convention in National Harbor, Maryland, the Heroic Hospitality Stars Award is a special honor that recognizes and celebrates individuals who provide exceptional customer service and demonstrate superior professionalism in their everyday line of work. Winners must also be associated with the top performing hotels within the brand. The Bevilacqua’s were one of only seven hotel employees to receive this award, out of all staff at the brand’s 2,100 properties in North America.

“The Heroic Hospitality Stars Award recognizes extraordinary employees at our hotels who go above and beyond to deliver outstanding service and create memorable experiences for our guests,” said Anthony Klok, Chairman of the Board of Directors for Best Western Hotels & Resorts. “I am pleased to honor Norman and Lorraine with this award, as they are outstanding members of the Best Western Dryden Hotel & Conference Centre and our overall brand. Norman’s and Lorraine’s dedication, professionalism, hard work and generosity is a leading example to all.”

During Best Western’s Annual Convention, Norman was also honored as the Chairman Legacy Award recipient of 2019. Each year, the award is given to the individual who best represents Best Western’s membership and organizational ideals regardless of District, years with the brand or age. Norman’s 45 years with the brand, which includes serving as a Best Western Governor for over 20 years, and his honorable service to his local community, led him to receive this well-deserved recognition in front of thousands of fellow hoteliers, corporate staff and senior leadership. The Best Western Plus Dryden Hotel & Conference Centre also received the Champion Green Award during the company’s District III Meeting in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The Champion Green Award is earned by properties that demonstrate a commitment to sustaining resources and reducing their carbon footprint. Champion Green Award recipients must comply with the AH&LA Green guidelines and/or the Green Key programs in Canada, and receive a bronze, silver, gold or platinum rating in the TripAdvisor® Green Leaders program. The hotels must also meet quality and service standards and other membership requirements to qualify for
each award.

The Best Western Plus Dryden Hotel & Conference Centre was one of only 56 hotels out of more than 2,100 properties in the U.S. and Canada to receive this designation this year. “I am pleased to congratulate the Best Western Plus Dryden Hotel & Conference Centre on receiving the 2019 Champion Green Award,” said Chairman Klok. “Our iconic brand has undergone an incredible transformation in recent years to deliver elevated products, services and experiences that today’s travelers are looking for. This award is a tremendous accomplishment as it honors hotels such as the Best Western Plus Dryden Hotel & Conference Centre whose commitment to excellence and exemplary performance reflect the new era of our brand - Today’s Best Western.”

Located at 349 Government St in Dryden Ontario, the Best Western Plus Dryden Hotel & Conference Centre features 89 rooms and is Dryden’s only full service Convention Centre.
