Pandemic restrictions impacted all aspects of everyone’s lives, but those in the hotel industry experienced a huge change in their daily operations. Masks, restrictions on dining, and even limited recreational options for guests all put a damper on hotel life.

For Stuart Bagnall, General Manager of Best Western, Thunder Bay Crossroads, the easing of restrictions is a huge relief. “We had to make a number of changes to our operations in order to keep our guests and our staff safe, which we were happy to do,” he explains. “I am glad that those times are behind us now and we can once again welcome our guests to enjoy all of the amenities that we have to offer.”

Fewer Restrictions Means More Amenities

The hotel’s business centre, front lounge area, and fitness centre are all open for guests. “Our business guests are especially happy to have some more space to relax, exercise, or get work done,” says Stuart.

During the COVID restrictions, the hotel was only able to offer grab-and-go breakfasts for safety reasons. Stuart adds, “Our team is pleased to once again offer our very popular complimentary sit-down breakfast served in our breakfast room each morning.”

Guests may also notice that the plexiglass barriers have been removed from the front desk area and daily room cleaning has resumed. Masks are no longer required anywhere in the hotel.
