Montreal-based Jetsgo recently announced plans to offer daily flights between Timmins and Toronto. The discount carrier will be offering five flights a day from Monday to Friday between the two cities, beginning Dec. 2. An official with the airline says the company recognized Timmins was underserviced for discount fares and felt the introduction of a discount carrier could result in an increase in air traffic. Airfares will range between $84 to $189 one way. Jetsgo provides flights to destinations across Canada, including Winnipeg, Vancouver, Halifax, Sydney, and other Canadian cities, as well as to some U.S. destinations.
