Timmins fabricator honoured with provincial award

Panels and Pipes of Timmins has been honoured by the 2013 Ontario Business Achievement Awards (OBAAs).

Panels and Pipes of Timmins has been honoured by the 2013 Ontario Business Achievement Awards (OBAAs).

The company was given the Corporate Contributor Award, which recognizes exceptional corporate citizens whose community investments have made a positive contribution.

“Achieving an award at the provincial level is a tremendous honour for our company,” owner JP Legault said in a news release. “This is the first time that at Timmins-based business has won an OBAA. We take pride in what we do and this award reassures us that we are heading in the right direction as a company.”

The OBAAs recognize businesses in the areas of building, innovation, market expansion, exports and corporate citizenship. Businesses are selected by an independent jury.

Panels and Pipes offers services in the areas of metal fabrication, HVAC, mechanical insulating and engineered scaffolding. It has a 7,400-square-foot shop in Timmins, as well as offices in Fort McMurray and Edmonton, AB.
