The City of Timmins is gearing up to head into the implementation stage of its strategic plan, which is focused on job creation, job retention and economic diversification. The final phase of the city's plan will see a number of projects brought to fruition. Ideas for projects were formed through community and private meetings and information sessions, which identified the needs of the community. Of the 500 ideas submitted, there are 61 ongoing projects and 42 projects that have been completed. The potential for call centre business in the city was one of many ideas submitted, and has been successfully implemented. Ideas are still being accepted by the city and can be submitted by logging onto its Web site at www.city.timmins.on.ca
