Premier Kathleen Wynne and other cabinet ministers will be attending the Federation of Northern Ontario Municipalities’ (FONOM) and Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing annual northeastern municipal conference to be held in Parry Sound May 8 to 10.

“The FONOM/MMAH northeastern municipal conference provides an excellent opportunity to network and we are very pleased that Premier Wynne will be addressing the delegates on (May 10),” said FONOM president Alan Spacek. “She will also participate in the ministers’ forum with four cabinet ministers, commonly referred to as the bear pit.”

Also attending the conference are: Linda Jeffrey, minister of municipal affairs and housing; Michael Gravelle, minister of northern development and mines; Jim Bradley, minister of the environment; David Orazietti, minister of natural resources; and Jeff Leal, minister of rural affairs.

The theme of this year’s conference is Connecting and Strengthening Communitiesand will offer a variety of presentations and workshops.
