Cochrane receives trail funding (4/02)

Northern Development and Mines Minister Dan Newman announced the Town of Cochrane will receive $30,000, through the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund, to enhance its nine-kilometre trail system.

Northern Development and Mines Minister Dan Newman announced the Town of Cochrane will receive $30,000, through the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund, to enhance its nine-kilometre trail system.

Cochrane is involved in a $119,000-project, which includes the promotion and marketing of the trail, as well as physical improvements and new signs.

Newman announced a $18,850-grant to the Cochrane Snowmobile Club as well. The money from the grant will go towards the construction of two shelters along the trail system and the purchase of a safety and maintenance vehicle. The total value of the project is $37,700.
