The PARO Centre for Women's Enterprise in Thunder Bay received a $352,600 Ontario Trillium grant to support its various entrepreneurial and small business training initiatives.

The money will be used for salaries, training opportunities and for producing materials for PARO's training and mentoring program designed to help women and young adults start their own businesses and to support outreach activities for Aboriginal and francophone women in the North.

“This crucial funding allows PARO to improve access to enterprise and social enterprise by development training, coaching and tools, while expanding networks for entrepreneurs at a decreased cost,” said Rosalind Lockyer, PARO's executive director, in a release.
