A $155-million construction project set to begin in April will significantly reduce the odour at Weyerhaeuser Inc.'s Dryden mill. The main feature of the kraft mill project is a new recovery boiler and precipitator.

A $155-million construction project set to begin in April will significantly reduce the odour at Weyerhaeuser Inc.'s Dryden mill. The main feature of the kraft mill project is a new recovery boiler and precipitator.

The typical kraft mill odour comes from four chemicals, together called total reduced sulphur compounds that are measured in parts per million.

The company estimates a peak workforce of 550 construction workers by the end of June.
