Golder heads to Thunder Bay

Golder Associates is opening a new location in Thunder Bay . The Mississauga-based consulting, design, construction services firm is setting up shop in the heart of the city's mining services hub on Alloy Drive.

The Mississauga-based consulting, design, construction services firm is setting up shop in the heart of the city's mining services hub on Alloy Drive.

The company said the Golder team is there to support clients in the mining and power sectors.

"We are both proud and excited to increase our presence in the heart of Ontario's north," said Sean McFarland, managing principal for Ontario operations in a June 11 news release. "Aligned with our presence in Sudbury and Timmins, the Golder team is well positioned to build stronger ties locally and deliver engineering and environmental solutions that help our clients successfully achieve their objectives."

Caitlin Burley will be the new office lead.

"We recognise that projects based in Northern Ontario encounter unique opportunities and challenges," said Anthony Ciccone, principal of environmental science. "We know this area well, given Golder consultants bring years of experience supporting clients and projects within this region."
