Fort Frances is getting ready to host the 11th annual International Conference on Safe Communities. The conference, May 6 to 10, is an initiative of the World Health Organization.
More than 700 delegates are expected to attend the conference from more than 30 countries around the world. Topics by 100 speakers include youth suicide, violence in schools, risk watch, seniorÕs safety and youth safety.
The Rainy River area will couple Fort McMurray, Alta. as the second Canadian community to join the international safety organization.
