Home Depot formally announced it is putting down roots in Thunder Bay having acquired 11 acres from Camrose Developments to begin construction on a store this summer at the Thunder Bay Centre. The completion date is fall, 2003.
However, Costco has dropped plans to come to the city after coming close to finalizing an agreement at the same development. Other proposed stores in Edmonton and Langley, B.C. are being cancelled. The only tenant at Thunder Bay Centre is Canadian Tire.
