Mining service company Symboticware is expanding into Australia through a partnership with Calsta Australia.

Sudbury-based Symboticware develops and manufactures hardware and software designed to collect, store, and transmit data generated at mining operations. The data can then be analyzed and used to streamline productivity.

Through the new partnership with Calsta Australia, Symboticware will provide its data delivery platform, while Calsta will provide its expertise in project management services.

In collaboration with Symboticware, the company said, real-time data can now be pulled from almost any original equipment manufacturer or third-party sensor.

“Our partnership with Calsta is significant as we introduce advanced data management solutions to environments where vital impact can be realized,” said Kirk Petroski, president and CEO of Symboticware Inc., in a May 31 news release.

“This partnership adds a great deal of value to our customers, and it’s a pleasure to work with partners who not only understand how data can impact overall operational success, but who also have a solid reputation in providing continuous improvement in the mining industry.”

Symboticware was launched in 2008 with the goal of making mines safer and more productive.
