Covergalls, a coverall for women designed in Sudbury and made in Canada, is now available worldwide.
Initially sold in Ontario exclusively through Century Vallen, Covergalls have expanded into a global market just one year after their launch.
“Covergalls are now being worn by women as far away as Russia,” designer Alicia Woods said in a news release. “Our brand is synonymous with comfort and safety and thus a perfect fit for women working in the trades across North America and beyond.”
Launched in June, 2013, Covergalls feature a rear opening and two-way zipper, secured pockets to house belongings, and snaps at the wrists for added fit. The garment is made from 100 per cent cotton, polyester/cotton twill, or fire retardant material, and is available in navy, safety orange, royal blue, and red. Sizes come in extra-small to 3X-large.
Woods, who’s employed with an Ontario equipment manufacturer, was inspired to create the garment after becoming frustrated with the ill-fitting men’s garments available.
The garment is now being used by women in the construction, automotive, environmental and forestry industries.
Covergalls are manufactured by LH Workwear in Montreal.
