The 14th Annual Community Builders Awards of Excellence Gala recognized the outstanding contributions of exceptional individuals and groups in nine categories at Sudbury’s Caruso Club, March 2.

The sold-out event was hosted by Northern Life and Northern Life publisher Abbas Homayed.

"Community Builders are people who are relentless in pursuit of their passion to make the City of Greater Sudbury a truly great place to live. They motivate action and activate positive change.” said Homayed. "Their vision, creativity, spirit and hard work are the driving force behind our mission to pay tribute to those who create a legacy of opportunity for the city."

Michael Atkins, president of Northern Ontario Business and Northern Life, said: "Tonight, we celebrate groups and individuals who are making an extraordinary difference.
