Sudbury chamber prez celebrated for 40 years of service

Debbi Nicholson, president and CEO of the Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce, has been recognized by her peers for 40 years of service.

The long-time leader was presented with a plaque commemorating her four decades with the organization during the annual general meeting of the Chamber of Commerce Executives of Canada (CCEC) held in Saint John, NB, Sept. 19-21.

A Sudburian by birth, Nicholson began her tenure with the Sudbury chamber in 1979.

She has served on a number of local, provincial and national committees and boards in addition to serving the chamber managers’ associations at both the provincial and national levels.

Nicholson has been recognized for her leadership with numerous awards from her peers, the province and Canada.
