Unable to find enough employees to fill seats, Omega Direct Response is closing one of its Sudbury call centres in October and consolidating its operations in one downtown site.

Employees at Omega's Site 2 will be transferred down the block on Larch Street to its first site, which opened in February 1999. The 288-seat facility is capable of employing about 600.

About nine clerical, administration and managerial staff will either be laid off or possibly offered positions in telephone sales.
