Exchange of ideas aim of upcoming mining safety conference (4/02)

The 2002 Mining Health and Safety Conference is aimed at promoting an exchange of ideas among mining communities. The annual event attracts industry leaders from across the nation, United States and from overseas, a spokesperson with the Mines and Aggregates Safety and Health Association says. Presentations will be made by Ontario mining companies on safety and health problems encountered in the industry and applied solutions. The event takes place April 17 to 19 at the Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel in Sudbury. An opening reception and registration take place April 16 from 5 to 7 p.m. Participants can register on-site at the conference on April 17 by 9 a.m. To register online visit www.masha.on.ca
